About Abba:

Abba is a beautiful conformation dog and earned an International Championship title and numerous points toward her AKC championship in limited showing. When Abba was 18 months old, she developed pyometria (an uterine infection). After initial treatments failed, we decided to spay her rather than risk her health further.

Now, she continues to train for rally obedience and agility, guards the house, makes sure that Merlin stays in shape and keeps our bed nice and toasty warm! We also look forward to trotting her out in the Veteran conformation classes someday. Oh - and she is a certified Delta Society Pet Partner. Abba visits Swedish Hospital in Denver on a regular basis and also helps out with library events and elementary school reading programs (she is an avid listener!). Needless to say, she draws a crowd and loves it!

Our thanks to Karen Martin of Danemark Danes (formerly Diamond Danes) for entrusting us with Abba. There are many nice Great Danes but, Abba is the Greatest.

And, yes, she was named after the Swedish singing group - Abba.
